BMS all India organising secretary B. Surendran on Monday asked the ILO member-countries to formulate a policy on the international portability of social security funds.

In the recently concluded 113th International Labour Conference of ILO, BMS appealed to all the 182 member-countries to formulate a policy on portability of funds to fix international parameters for skill certification and to frame regulations on the usage of AI combined with ML.

BMS welcomed the Director General of the ILO's statement on the unprecedented growth of social protection coverage in India. India has achieved 64.8% of social protection coverage and stands in 2nd place, he said.

Surendran said BMS appreciates the Indian Government's efforts and feels proud about this action. In the conference held by ILO, BMS voted in favour of the convention on the protection from biological hazards in the working environment.
